Summary: “Imagine if your Dad wrote a dirty book. Most people would try to ignore it and pretend it had never happened – but not Jamie Morton. Instead, he’s decided to read it to the world in this brand new comedy podcast. With the help of his friends, James Cooper and BBC Radio 1’s Alice Levine, Jamie will be reading a chapter a week and discovering more about his father than he ever bargained for.”
When I created this blog, I had no intention on posting about podcasts, mainly because I only listen to them once in a while, but My Dad Wrote a Porno is honestly too good not to share with all of you.
As is should be obvious by the title, this is not a podcast for kids and if you decide to listen to it (which you totally should) I suggest headphones if you’re not alone.
This podcast is essentially the reading of Belinda Blinked, a self published “porno” written by Jamie Morton’s dad and the hilarious commentary that comes along with it. Honestly, you will be laughing so hard at both the ridiculousness of Belinda and the comments from Jamie, James, and Alice that your cheeks will hurt. The story is so bad, it’s fantastic. Rocky Flintstone (Jamie’s dad) is a national treasure and will cause you to never look at things like pomegranates in the same way ever again.
I have been listening to the podcast while at work (probably a weird idea, but I don’t care), and have been loving every minute of it. I got one of my co-workers to listen and then she told just about everyone else, and it led to very interesting conversations in the office.
I went through book (season) one in about 2 days and am almost caught up to where they are on book 2.
If you enjoy a little dirty humor, you have got to check this out and tell me what you think. There are so many inside jokes and I need more people who will know what I’m saying when I talk about the Asses and Donkey’s Trust.
